MUNCIE, Ind.Mia Raines (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin) and Alexa Ouellet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) finished inside the top 10 as the Northern Illinois University women's golf team finished in fourth place at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships.

The Huskies carded five birdies in the final round at the Delaware Country Club. All five Huskies posted scores of 79 or better for the second straight day. The Huskies' fourth place finish is their eighth top 4 finish in the last 10 tournaments.

"Little disappointed in the slip-up but the back-nine played well. The ladies came each day and fought for each shot they had, knowing that it was a tough grind the whole week," said NIU head coach Kim Kester. "Four of the five that played this week are coming back and that's very exciting for us. It was tight towards the top and we were one of the younger teams out there. Big thanks to Emma and Jo (Jóhanna Lúðvíksdóttir) for all the work they did this year and the careers they've had."

Raines collected two birdies as she went one-over par in the final round while Ouellet had one birdies in her round, going four-over. Raines has had six complete rounds this season in the 70s while this marks Ouellet's eighth round of 70s on the scorecard.

Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman) birdied her final hole as she claimed a top 30 finish in her first MAC Championships appearance. Tallent turned in her fifth tournament of the season with each round in the 70s.

Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/iUniversity Prep) and Emma Thorman (Macomb, Ill./Macomb) rounded out action for the Huskies. Kent carded the final birdie for the Huskies, opening her day with a birdie as Thorman posted her seventh tournament with scores in the 70s or better.

NIU led the field in par-3 averages and were second in par-5s and total pars. The women's golf team recorded a total of 23 birdies. Ouellet was second overall for par-3 averages while Raines was in a multi-way tie for fourth. Ouellet also claimed a multi-way tie for third in par-4 averages while Tallent was top-10 in par-5s. Kent was one of eight golfers to record an eagle at the tournament. Raines, Ouellet, and Thorman were in the top 10 for par this week as they recorded 36, 35, and 34 pars over the tournament.
