AKRON, Ohio—Moving up the leaderboard, the Northern Illinois University Huskies women's golf team completed their second round of action at the 2026 MAC Championships at the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
Alexa Ouellet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/De La Salle College) had the best round of the day for the Huskies, carding a three-over-par at 73. Ouellet made back-to-back birdies on the front nine to finish one over at the turn. She added a third birdie on the back nine, this one coming on the par-3 16th hole.
Mia Raines (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin) continued to pace the Huskies, sitting inside the top 25. Raines carded a four-over-par round, highlighted by a birdie on the front nine that sent her to the turn at one under. Raines and Ouellet each birdied the fifth hole on the front nine.
Opening her day with a birdie,
Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman) went eight-over-par today.
Emile Chile (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) had just one birdie on the back nine to go seven-over on the day.
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/iUniversity Prep) moved up nine spots in action as she carded a pair of birdies to finish with a score of 74 for the day.
The Huskies sit in eighth place as they improved by six strokes from the opening day of the tournament. The final round of the tournament continues tomorrow, April 28, at the Firestone Country Club.
