CLEVELAND—Five members of the Northern Illinois University women's golf program have earned Academic All-MAC honors as announced by the conference today (June 8).
NIU, Bowling Green, Ball State, and Kent State led the way with five honorees apiece as a total of 38 student-athletes were honored.
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/University Prep) collected her third straight honor while
Eva Nijenhuis (Helioo, Netherlands/OSG Williem Blaeu),
Alexa Ouellet (Toronto, ONatraio, Canada),
Mia Raines (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin), and
Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman) earn the honor for the first time.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that sport.
