Sugar Grove, Ill. - Louisville, led by a five-over-par performance from co-medalist from Derek Fathauer, captured the overall title at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms (par 72) with a three-round score of 895 (+31) on Sunday afternoon.
Fathauer was joined on the medalist stand by SMU's Colt Knost. Indiana's Jorge Campillo, Colorado's Pat Grady and Louisville's Adam Hadwin each tied for third-place with a three-round score of 224 (+8).
SMU and Kansas State tied for third overall in the team standings with a three-round score of 913 (+49). Colorado finished in fourth with 914, followed by Kansas (920), Marquette (922), Ball State (923), Indiana (929), Akron (933), Michigan (941), Missouri (942) and Northern Illinois (953).
NIU's Zach Jecklin (Bloomington, Ill.) turned in the lone top-20 finish for the Huskies, tying for 19th with a three-round score of 230 (+14). Following Jecklin was freshman Andrew Frame (Manteno, Ill.) who carded a score of 237 (+21).
The Huskies are back in action next weekend, as they will participate in the Wolverine Intercollegiate (Sept. 16-17), hosted by Michigan.
