DeKALB, Ill.-Northern Illinois University head women's golf coach Pam Tyska announced the signing of Kelsie Passsolt from Hayward High School in Hayward, Wis. to a National Letter of Intent.
"Kelsie Passolt has had a very successful junior golf career and I'm so pleased and proud that she will be on our roster in the fall," Tyska said. "She has played in the regional as well as top national events and is undaunted at what the competition may throw at her.
"She has an even temperament and has a very evolved course management strategy for her years. She will grow into a strong leader and will be a wonderful ambassador for Northern Illinois University and our women's golf program in the years to come."
Passolt has an impressive record in Wisconsin High School Tournament play. She took sixth her freshman year and has finished in second in both her sophomore and junior years. She is a three-time conference player of the year and team most valuable player. Passolt earned All-State honors in 2005 and 2006. In July of 2006, she won the Wisconsin PGA Junior Tour Lake Geneva Champion, earning her an exemption to the National AJGA Junior Tour.
