DeKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois golfer Alex Wagner (St. Charles, Ill./East) begins play at the U.S. Amateur Championship in San Francisco on Monday, Aug. 20. Live updates will be available for Wagner and the rest of the field at www.usga.org.

Wagner will begin the tournament with a 9:20 a.m. CT tee time at the Olympic Club on Monday and will take the course again Tuesday at 2:35 p.m. CT. Should he advance to match play, the Golf Channel will provide live coverage from 3-5 p.m. CT on August 22.

Zach Jecklin (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) led the Huskies contingent at the Illinois State Amateur Tournament, completed Thursday at the Ironhorse G.C. in Tuscola. The senior-to-be finished in a tie for 24th with a final three-round score of 216. Wagner finished 28th with a total of 217. For complete results click here.
