DEKALB, Ill. - Northern Illinois University women's golfers Kelsie Passolt (Hayward, Wis.) and Allie Parthie (Marinetta, Wis./Marinetta) were named to the National Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Team.
Parthie and Passolt led the way for the Huskies in 2010-11 with Parthie averaging a team low 81.1 a round and Passolt close behind with an 81.6. Parthie posted a season best fourth-place finish at the Loyola Invitational, shooting a 157 (78-79). She shot a season-low 153, including a low-round total 73, coming at the Huskie Classic. Parthie, a biology/pre-medicine major, carries a 3.95 cumulative grade point average.
A broadcast journalism major, Passolt holds a 3.89 GPA. She averaged 81.6, the second lowest on the team and posted her best finish of the season, a ninth-place showing, at the Loyola Invitational. Passolt fired a season-low 77 in the second round of the Cardinal Classic and in the first round of the Huskie Classic.
In order to be selected to the NGCA All-American Scholar Team student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and compete in at least 50 percent of the school's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
