DEKALB, Ill. – All 13 Northern Illinois University women's basketball regular season home games this season will be shown live on ESPN3 as game times for all Huskie home contests were announced on Thursday.
All NIU women's basketball midweek home games will tip off at 6 p.m., while Saturday games will begin at 1 p.m. The Huskies open the 2017-18 season Nov. 4 with a preseason contest versus Benedictine University in the Convocation Center with tip-off set for 1 p.m., while the regular season home opener is slated for Nov. 18 versus in-state foe Western Illinois. The only midweek contest that does not tip off at 6 p.m. is the Dec. 6 contest with Loyola. That game is NIU's Education Day and will start at 11 a.m.
In addition to exciting single game action of NIU women's basketball, there are three doubleheaders scheduled this season – Nov. 29, Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 – with the men's basketball squad.
New for this season, NIU is offering a premium seating option for NIU women's basketball home games. Courtside seat holders will enjoy food and beverage service at their seats for every game. Season tickets for the 2017-18 NIU women's basketball team are on sale for just $50 through the NIU Athletics Ticket Office in the Convocation Center, online at NIUHuskies.com or by calling 815-753-PACK (7225). If NIU hosts a first round MAC Tournament game at the Convocation Center, all women's basketball season ticket members will receive their same seats for that game for no addition charge.
Football and men's basketball season ticket members, NIU Faculty and Staff, Alumni Association and Varsity Club members, as well as senior citizens (65+) can purchase season tickets for $40. NIU volleyball season ticket members pay just $35 for NIU women's basketball season tickets, which is also the price for general admission season tickets (specified sections only).
