DEKALB, Ill. – Northern Illinois University men's basketball head coach
Mark Montgomery announced on Tuesday the signing of Nathan Scott (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley/Olney Central) for the 2019-20 season.
"We are very pleased that Nathan Scott will be joining us here at NIU," said Montgomery. "Nathan is a wiry, athletic, combo forward, and we expect him to see time at both the three and four. He is a good shooter and has great length which will help us defensively, we are very excited to have Nathan as a Huskie."
An All-Region 24 and All-Great Rivers Athletic Conference performer as a sophomore this past season at Olney Central College in Olney, Ill., Scott averaged 10.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while starting all 31 games. Scott shot 55.7 percent from the field, including 38.2 percent from three-point range, and 76.9 percent from the free-throw line, while helping the Blue Knights to a 25-6 overall record.
