Women's Volleyball | October 4

DeKALB, IL – Junior outside hitter Katie Jablonski (Elburn, Ill./New Hampshire) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week on Monday for her play this past week against Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
 
This is Jablonski's first career MAC weekly honor. Jablonski averaged 3.69 kills and 3.46 digs per set last week in three matches against Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. She opened the week with 14 kills and 15 digs at Western Michigan Tuesday night. Jablonski led NIU with 19 kills, tying a season-high, and added 18 digs in the Huskies' 3-1 win over Eastern Michigan on Friday. She closed the weekend with 15 kills and 12 digs against the Eagles Saturday night, her fourth consecutive double-double. Jablonski averaged four points per set this week.
 
The Huskies begin a four-match road swing on Friday, Oct. 8 with a 5 p.m. match at defending MAC champions Bowling Green.
