John Carlson announced the Huskies' 2021-22 schedule on Thursday. The Huskies will host two events this upcoming season, including the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championship April 29-May 1 at White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville.
"White Eagle Golf Club will be an outstanding host in conducting one of the finest conference championships in years thanks to the support of Curtis Malm, Tyler Keith and the members of the club," said Carlson. "Northern Illinois University will roll out the red carpet for all players, coaches and spectators the weekend of April 29-May 1, 2022. As the host institution, it is our honor to host the 2022 MAC Championship."

The Huskies will open their fall slate Sept. 5-7 at the Marquette Intercollegiate, hosted by Marquette at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wis. Erin Hills hosted the U.S. Open in 2017. NIU will play in the Badger Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Sept. 26-28. On Oct. 2-4, the Huskies will host the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate. The 13-team tournament field includes Big Ten programs Purdue, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska.
NIU travels to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Boilermaker Invitational Oct. 11-12 with a trip to Cincinnati the following week to play in the Xavier Invitational. The Huskies wrap up the fall with a trip to Pebble Beach, Calif. for the Poppy Hills Collegiate, hosted by St. Mary's Nov. 8-10 at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
"Our 2021-2022 competition schedule continues to show the respect we have gained nationally," Carlson said. "We will play a schedule that will test us from Erin Hills in September to the NCAA Championships at the end of May. The schedule is highlighted by the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate, an event at Poppy Hills and once again heading back to Texas A&M. Huskies Golf is ready for the exposure to the top teams in the nation as well as the demand championship golf courses provide."
After a spring break trip in March to open the spring, NIU will play in the Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M April 9-10 at Traditions Club. The trip to Texas starts a stretch of four tournaments in four weeks. NIU will play in the Hawkeye Invitational at Iowa April 16-17 and the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at Ohio State April 23-24 before hosting the MAC Championship at the end of April.
