DeKalb, Ill. – Head Coach Sondra Parys of the Northern Illinois University volleyball team has inked two transfer student-athletes to the 2023 roster, the program announced Wednesday.

Libero Crew Hoffmeier, who most recently played volleyball at VCU, as well as right side hitter Isabelle Percoco, who played three seasons at Georgia State, will be eligible immediately.

"I am so excited to officially welcome Crew Hoffmeier and Isabelle Percoco to the Huskie family!" said Parys. "The thing that stood out the most in each of their recruitments was how strongly we connected with them as individuals. We are confident they can make an immediate impact on our program,"

Hoffmeier joins the Huskies after spending the previous two seasons at VCU. With 127 sets played, Hoffmeier paced the team with 3.86 digs per set (No. 8 in the A10) and totaled 490 in 2022. Through her freshman campaign, she accumulated 224 digs, bringing her career total to 714.

This past season, Hoffmeier posted double-digit digs in 11-straight matches from Sept. 24 – Oct. 25, including a career-high 28 against Fordham on Oct. 8. She's originally from Louisville, Ky. and attended Assumption High School where she was a three-time state champion.

"Hoffmeier has a passion for people, and the game, that would be infectious on any team,"

Percoco, a seasoned vet, will aid the Huskies' attack at the net. The 6-foot right side has three seasons under her belt and has garnered 229 kills through her time with the Panthers.

Last season, Percoco racked up 187 kills on 557 swings for an average of 2.20 kills per set, the third-best mark on the team. From Oct. 7-22, she laid down double-figure kills in six-straight matches. Against USC upstate, Percoco etched a career-high 14 kills on 36 swings. Four matches later against South Carolina State, she hit .417 for another career-high. She's a Charlotte, N.C. native and attended South Mecklenburg High School.

"Percoco brings an offensive power and overwhelming fun energy that will raise the level in our gym. They are both a perfect fit for our program, and we can't wait to get started working with them!"
