"I'm excited about Sunday, the hope is we can continue building on what we've been building," head coach
Sam Morreale said. "Central Michigan is the defending MAC champ, so it'll be great to test ourselves against them and see where we stand this time of the year. We want to finish as regular season and MAC tournament champs."
NIU last competed on Friday, January 19 at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic in Nashville where the Huskies set an all-time team scoring record. NIU finished with a score of 196.400 which topped the team's previous high of 196.350. At the meet, the Huskies also set an all-time team vault record with 49.150.
"I would like to do the same thing as last week, we set some records last week and we would like to do that again," Morreale said. "We feel like we are that type of team. The hope is we use that meet to continue to build toward where we want to be and get better at what we are doing."
