DEKALB, Ill. – Arianna Calloway (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs) of the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Second Team, announced by the league office on Wednesday (May 15).
Calloway finished second in the high jump at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend in DeKalb, clearing 1.73 meters (5-08.00). The Blue Springs, Mo., native is currently tied for 53rd on the NCAA West Preliminary Qualifying List, having cleared a season-high 1.74 meters (5-08.50) at Texas State's Bobcat Invitational (March 28).
During the indoor season, Calloway set a NIU indoor record when she cleared 1.80 meters (5-10.75) at Notre Dame's Blue & Gold Invitational (Dec. 1). Calloway also finished second at the MAC Indoor Championships and was named co-MAC Freshman Field Performer of the Year.
Calloway has won four high jump titles this season, winning indoors at Iowa State (Jan. 19) and twice at Notre Dame (Dec. 1 and Feb. 3) while also winning outdoors at Texas State (March 28).
