Cleveland, Ohio – Eight Northern Illinois University gymnasts were named to the Academic All Mid-American Conference gymnastics team announced by the league office Tuesday.
The list includes three seniors,
Alana Anderson (Joliet, Ill./Joliet West) ,
Isabella Sissi Blaine, Minn./Mounds View) and
Ellery Werner (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander). Anderson, Sissi and Werner have been named to the Academic All-MAC all three times they have been eligible.
Three juniors,
Jocelyn Harbeck (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East), Samanatha Nickle (Yorktown, Va./York) and
Kiera O'Shea (Norridge, Ill./Ridgewood) also all received the honors. Harbeck, Nickle and O'Shea also qualified in 2024 in their first possible year.
Sophomore's
Dawsyn Sallee (Versailles, Ky./Woodford County) and
Isabella Ross (Cary, N.C./ Green Level) also qualified in their first eligible season.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests in that season. First-year transfers and freshmen are not eligible.
