ALLENDALE, Mich. – Nine top-10 finishes highlight the competition for the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team at the GVSU Big Meet on Friday (Feb. 11). The Huskies earned four top-10's on the track and five more in field events.
"The athletes continue to show improvement," said NIU Director of Track and Field
Connie Teaberry. "The staff can't ask for a better day of competition when your athletes are focused and begin to put Monday through Thursday practice sections, race plans, and technical execution visible in their events. Over three-fourths of the ladies competing either had a season's best or a personal best which is a sign that things are clicking in the right way. We have one meet left before MAC and at the rate their going more great performances are in the horizon."
