CLEVELAND, Ohio—For the third straight year and matching a program-high, six members of the Northern Illinois University Women's Golf team have been named to the Academic All-MAC team as announced by the conference office today (Wednesday, May 29).
The Huskies matched a league-best six honorees with Toledo as 44 golfers from around the conference earned honors.
Karen Liu (Taipei, Taiwan),
Jasmine Ly (Windsor, Ontario, Can.),
Emily Romancew (Pierrefonds, Quebec, Can.) are three-time honorees for the Huskies.
Jo´hanna Lu´ðvi´ksdo´ttir (Reykjavik, Iceland) and
Sydney Naro (Toronto, Ontario, Can.) land on the Academic All-MAC team for the second straight year while
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas) makes her first appearance on the list for the Huskies.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that sport.
