Women's Golf | April 24
DeKALB, Ill. – After placing two in the top-10 in last year's tournament, the Northern Illinois University Huskies women's golf team is set to compete at the 2026 MAC Championships in Akron, Ohio.
The Huskies are set to take on the 54-hole event April 26–28, playing a 6,137-yard layout at Firestone Country Club. Live scoring will be provided via Scoreboard, powered by Clipped, with a recap show on Monday (April 27) and Tuesday (April 28) on YouTube.
During the 2025 tournament, the Huskies claimed a fourth-place finish. That marks their eighth top 4 finish in the last 10 tournaments.
Mia Raines (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin) has led the Huskies in five tournaments this season, with her highest finish of third coming at the GCU Invitational. Raines has a stroke average of 75.43 with a season-low row of 69.
Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman) and
Alexa Ouellet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/De La Salle College) each led the Huskies in a pair of tournaments this season. Tallent has a stroke average of 76.2, while Ouellet averaged 78.73 for the season. Both had season-low rounds of 71 with sixth place finishes this season.
Emile Chile (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) led the Huskies in their last regular season tournament and has a season-low of 73. Chile has a top-20 finish this season with a stroke average stroke of 77.57.
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/iUniversity Prep) and
Eva Nijenhuis (Heiloo, Netherlands/OSG Willem Blaeu) round out the Huskies this week.
