Women's Golf | April 26

AKRON, Ohio—The Northern Illinois University Huskies women's golf team opened action at the 2026 MAC Championships this morning as Mia Raines (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy Berlin) led the Huskies on the course.

Raines carded a front-nine birdie as she finished three over par (73). Dakota Tallent (Las Vegas, Nevada/Bishop Gorman) was the only Huskie to record two birdies to join her teammate inside the top-30 after the first round.
 
Alexa Ouellet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/De La Salle College) had seven consecutive pars as she went six over on the day. Emile Chile (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound) was the final Huskie to record a par in the first 18 holes, and the only Huskie do so on the back-nine.
 
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/iUniversity Prep) was the final Huskie in action today.
 
The second round of the tournament continues tomorrow, April 27, at the Firestone Country Club.
