DeKALB - With pregame and postgame festivities, in-game recognition for the 60th season of NIU women's basketball and throwback uniforms, the Huskies Alumna Day Celebration during Cram The Convo on February 4 is slated to be NIU women's basketball's biggest celebration of the season.

Northern Illinois University, which currently owns a 14-5 record and sits atop the Mid-American Conference with Ball State, will host Western Michigan on Feb. 4. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. Central as the first half of a doubleheader with the Huskie men's team.

The NIU women's basketball team will wear a special uniform and shooting shirt to commemorate the 60th Season celebration. The jerseys will be available for fans to purchase through an online auction on NIUHuskies.com, beginning Friday, January 27.

This limited edition jersey is based on the Huskies 1991-92 uniforms and shooting shirts and combined into one kit. The shorts are reminiscent of NIU's famed NCAA Tournament teams of the early 1990's and feature the famous "running dog" logo while the jersey is similar in look to the Huskies shooting shirts from that season which were in the style of those worn by the 1992 Dream Team of Olympic Basketball fame.

Starting bids for the auction will begin at $100 per jersey. A "Buy It Now" option will be available for $500 with the winning buyer receiving the game worn jersey, shorts and shooting shirt as an added bonus. The shorts and shooting shirts are ONLY available in this way.

Events during the Alumna Day Celebration will include a pregame reception for alums and fans in The Sixth Man Grille (South concourse area) starting at noon Central and a postgame meet and greet for players, alums and fans in The Sixth Man Grille at the conclusion of the game.

All NIU women's basketball alumna in attendance will be recognized at halftime of the game as well. 

NIU Athletics is encouraging all alums that plan on attending the event to RSVP to Director of Basketball Operations Jazz Weaver (cweaver1@niu.edu, 815-753-1492) for ticket requests by Thursday, February 2 at 5 p.m. All women's basketball alums will receive complimentary tickets for themselves and guests.

Tickets for women's basketball alumna will also be valid for the following NIU men's game versus Eastern Michigan, scheduled to tip at 3:30 p.m. NIU Athletics is offering a special Cram The Convo ticket deal, offering $5 tickets for admission to see both games.
