CLEVELAND – Ten members of the Northern Illinois University women's track and field team were named to the 2020-21 Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team, announced by the league office on Thursday (August 12). 

NIU's 10 honorees includes eight student-athletes who were also awarded Academic All-MAC honors during the indoor season. 

Among the Huskies who received Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC honors, Nora Finegan (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) is a three-time recipient, having garnered the recognition in 2018 and 2019. Sara Atkins (Warrenville, Ill./Wheaton Warrenville South) and Kenyae Majors (Burlington, N.C./Hugh Cummings) are both two-time Outdoor Track and Field honorees after claiming the award in 2019. 

The first-time Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team honorees includes: Remy Amarteifio (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Township), Brynn Bartlett (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead), Meagan Biddle (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates), Kaitlyn Lewis (Liberty, Mo./Liberty), Hannah Ricci (Naperville, Ill./Naperville North), Victoria Robinson (Lansing, Kan./Lansing) and Ashley Tutt (Channahon, Ill./Minooka). 

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
