LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla.—Senior
Jasmine Ly finished the Pat Bradley Invitational with a ninth-place finish and a final round score of one under par as the Northern Illinois University Huskies finished the fall season.
Ly (Windsor, Ontario, Can./Holy Names HS) recorded eight birdies over three rounds on her scorecard. In her final round, Ly recorded three birdies, including on the final hole of the day. Ly recorded a birdie twice on the eighth hole, achieving that on her first and third rounds.
Emily Romancew (Pierrefonds, Quebec, Canada/Ecole Secondaire Des Sources) finished in a tie for 15th and saw five birdies in her opening round to record a score of three under par.
Sydney Naro (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/Hills International) eagled on the seventh hole of the final day, as she finished four over par on the final day.
Eva Nijenhuis (Heiloo, Netherlands/OSG Willem Blaeu) had a final round score, going nine over par on the final round.
Caroline Kent (Frisco, Texas/University Prep) contributed an 82 as the Huskies finished 11th in the team race.
"Jaz and Emily had great rounds over the tournament and fought through difficult weather conditions," said head coach
Kim Kester. "We have had athletes competing since February (with some competitions) so looking to regroup and refocus for the spring season."
NIU will return to action in the spring, competing at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate tournament on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14 in Arizona.
