Considered one of best female All-Around performers in Northern Illinois gymnastics record book. Qualified for NCAA Division I Regional twice (1984 & 1986). Captured Mid-American Conference All-Around title with (then) league-record 35.60 total in soph campaign (1984). Capped senior year by tying for eighth in All-Around (36.60), plus placing seventh on uneven parallel bars (9.25), ninth on floor exercise (9.25), and 12th in vaulting (9.35) at NCAA Central Regional for head coach Bobbie Cesarek (1986). Placed sixth on uneven parallel bars and 12th in NCAA Midwest Regional as soph (1984). Repeated as First-Team All-MAC selection (1984 & 1986). Tabbed NIU Woman Athlete of Year and gained third straight team MVP honor on 12-3 dual meet squad as senior (1985-86). Three-time MVP and letter-winner. Led Huskies in scoring three times (469.40 points in 1985-86, 411.25 in 1984-85, and 393.95 in 1983-84) and graduated as school's all-time career scorer (1,413.15 points). Made college debut vs. Illinois State and Wisconsin-Whitewater by winning three individual titles in record-setting performances vault (9.05), uneven p-bars (9.05), and All-Around (34.10) (Dec. 5, 1982). Reset at least five individual Northern Illinois records and finished career No. 1 on all-time vault (9.50) and All-Around (36.85) lists. Tallied NIU-record 36.85 All-Around score vs. Southeast Missouri State (1985-86). Averaged team-leading 9.45 season average on floor ex and 9.13 in vault (1985-86). Rewrote NIU vault mark seven times and uneven p-bars six times. Prepped at Vineland (NJ) Senior High School.
