Ace on links and in classroom. Second Northern Illinois women's golfer enshrined into Hall of Fame. Inducted into NIU Golf Hall of Fame. Ranked as No. 1 female collegiate golfer in Illinois with NIU-leading 79.9 strokes-per-round average as senior. Made NCAA Midwest Top 10 ratings and No. 23 spot nationally for head coach Pam Tyska (1987). Awarded four varsity "NI" golf monograms (1982-85, 1986-87). Selected team MVP three times and NIU captain twice. Qualified for CoSIDA All-Academic ballot three years (1983-84, 1984-85, 1986-87). Top Northern Illinois tournament finishes: (1) medalist at Ferris State Invitational with course record, three-under-par 69 (1984), (2) second place at Purdue Classic (1984), and (3) runner-up spot at NIU Invitational (1986). Recruited by HOF coach Jack Pheanis. Selected Wisconsin Golfer of Year (1984). Captured Wisconsin Women's State Stroke-Play Open (1983) and Match-Play title (1984). Earned NIU Sportswoman of Year Award and Presidential Award (for excellence) as senior (1986-87). Named NI Club Scholar-Athlete Award winner (1985). Made Dean's List for final six semesters and averaged perfect 4.00 grade point average in all accountancy courses. Received NIU Excellence Award for accountancy graduate school (1987), national Elijah Seils Award for top one percent finish among 70,000 individuals on CPA exam (1986), and Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, and Company Award (1985). Graduated with 3.89 cumulative gpa as NIU undergrad (1987). Earned MBA from NIU (1996). Participated in golf (4), basketball (2), and track (1) at Lancaster (WI) Senior High.
