Full circle. First Northern Illinois Athletics HOF female gymnast who stayed in discipline, returned to her alma mater, and served as Huskie assistant coach (2007-08). Polished dance and gymnastics expertise as coach, judge, clinician, and choreographer. Became initial NIU gymnast to qualify for postseason competition by earning All-Around berth at AIAW Region V Championships as freshman (1980-81). Led NIU in team scoring and earned MVP honors with school-record score in balance beam (8.55) and All-Around (33.40) during frosh campaign. Finished No. 2 in Huskie scoring despite missing half of soph season due to broken leg (1981-82). Placed sixth in Mid-American Conference Championships balance beam competition and established NIU standard in floor exercise (9.10) as junior (1982-83). Served as two-year Huskie captain (1982-84). Tied for second place on balance beam at MAC Championships and earned all-league honors as senior for head coach Bobbie Cesarek. Selected Northern Illinois Sportswoman of Year Award winner, Mid-Am Scholar-Athlete Award recipient, and NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship nominee (1983-84). Recognized in "Who's Who Among American Students in Universities and Colleges" (1982-83). Spent four years as dancer with Dancescape Dance Company (1987-90). Coached all competitive levels at Energym Gymnastics specializing in balance beam and floor dance. Tutored state and regional champions, plus Top 10 finishers at USAG Nationals. Served as NAWGJ Level 10 judge. Sycamore (IL) High School product.
