Two-time Hall of Famer and repeat AIAW All-America selection. Helped establish Northern Illinois women's badminton among nation's elite programs for head coach Paul Deloca. Qualified for three straight AIAW nationals and led Huskies to trio of Top 20 team finishes (12th place in 1980, fifth in 1981, and first in 1980). Named school's initial Broderick Award recipient in recognition as best player in sport based on athletics and academics and became finalist for prestigious Broderick Cup symbolic of top woman collegiate athlete in United States as sophomore (1979-80). Captured third place in national AIAW meet with upset after upset as unseeded singles' entry. Defeated No. 4 seed Cari Theis (UCLA), 11-0, 11-1, in third-place match and gained All-America status a first for an NIU female student-athlete. Repeated All-America accolades by placing fourth in singles at AIAW National Championships as junior. Fell to defending national singles champ Heather Ross (Arizona State) in third-place match (1980-81). Reached singles quarter-finals as senior on Hall of Fame AIAW National Championship team (1981-82). Won two state AIAW singles crowns (1981-82) and one state doubles title (1981). Performed on back-to-back AIAW state team titlists (1981-82). Repeat AIAW Division A All-State pick (1981-82). Two-time Northern Illinois MVP (1979-80, 1980-81). Selected NIU's Woman Athlete of Year (1979-80). Recipient of NIU Presidential Award for exceptional achievement as senior. Transfer from University of British Columbia. Penticton (BC) Canada native.
