The Wayne Gretzky of Northern Illinois women's field hockey, master of the right inner forward spot, and two-time Hall of Famer. Prolific goal-scorer on back-to-back unbeaten Huskie field hockey units (12-0-3 in 1977 and 11-0-3 in 1978). Set school records for (1) single-match (6), (2) single-season (24), and (3) career (44) goals. Established season mark with 20 goals in 15 matches as junior after transferring from Wyoming (1977). Bettered that goal standard with 24 in 14 matches as senior on Hall of Fame squad (1978). Tallied career-high six goals in 7-0 Huskie victory vs. Concordia Teachers College (October 12, 1978). Scored multiple goal matches 11 times in career four as junior and seven as senior. Notched five career "hat trick" three-goal efforts vs. Wisconsin-Green Bay and Rockford College (1977), plus vs. Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Lake Forest College, and Wisconsin-Whitewater (1978). One of four Huskie field hockey performers to receive ultimate post-season accolade by participating in North Central College Association Selection Tournament, NCCA Selection Tournament, and United States Field Hockey Association's National Tournament which determined Team U.S.A. (1978). Lettered at Northern Illinois in field hockey (2) and softball (2) as third baseman. Served as assistant field hockey and softball coach at Illinois State (1979-81) and softball aide at national powerhouse Fresno State (1986-87). Directed Kent State field hockey program and compiled 44-34-1 mark (1981-84). Naperville Central High prep star.
