All-around student-athlete and pioneer Northern Illinois women's sports standard-bearer. Five-sport Huskie star with rare distinction of starting every game of career in softball, basketball, and field hockey for Hall of Fame head coach Mary Bell. Carried Huskie colors in basketball (4), field hockey (4), golf (2), softball (4), and volleyball (3) (1962-66). Pulled down 308 career rebounds in 34 hardwood appearances for 9.1 per game average and captained 7-2 Northern Illinois quintet that defeated Big Ten Conference opponents Illinois and Northwestern as senior (1965-66). Recorded .468 career batting average on diamond, plus led Huskies in hitting for three consecutive springs (.545 as frosh in 1963, .486 as soph on 9-0-0 squad in 1964, and .444 as junior on 1965) and RBIs during all four years. Participated in inaugural NIU golf meets at Illinois State and Michigan State (1965) and played at National Invitational Collegiate Tournament at Ohio State as senior (1966). Won medalist honors at Illinois Women's Amateur (1972) and back-to-back Women's International Amateur titles in Guadalajara, Mexico (1972, 1973). Five-time Chicago Women's District Golf Association champion and multiple medalist at Northern Illinois Women's Golf Association, Lady Lincoln Highway, Rock River District, and Kishwaukee Country Club tournaments. Captured Illinois State Senior Women's Championship with 244 total at Robinson, IL (1999). Selected for Northern Illinois Women's Golf Wall of Honor (2000). Sycamore High product.
