Named Second-Team Golf Coaches Association All-America as senior and Honorable Mention GCA All-America as junior for HOF coach Jack Pheanis. Won back-to-back MAC medalist honors (1975-76). Three-time All-MAC pick and NCAA Championships qualifier (1974-76). Tied for 29th at NCAA (76-74-72-77 Ñ 299 in 1975) and finished 17th (78-74-70-70 Ñ 292 in 1976). Played No. 1 man on HOF Huskie team that won MAC title and NCAA berth (1976). Tabbed for NCAA East-West Match Play series twice (1975-76) and Sun Bowl All-Star Tournament (1976). Beat NCAA kingpin Jay Haas and Southwest Conference medalist Lance Ten Broeck for Illinois State Amateur crown (1975). Set MAC 72-hole record with 69-68-73-73 Ñ 282 total as senior (1976).
